Oracle Corp.’s latest quarterly Critical Patch Update (CPU), issued in October, was the second-largest ever, providing fixes for 253 security vulnerabilities for 76 of the company’s products, including seven security updates for Java SE 6, 7 and 8, and eight for the Java EE-based WebLogic and GlassFish application servers.
